Watch Words

Thank you, God

for all You have given me;

for all You have saved me from;

for all I am because of You.

Wisdom and Understanding

Lord, grant me the serenity

to accept the things I cannot change,

to change the things that I can, and,

the wisdom to know the difference.

Season of Harvest and Thanksgiving

Good day friends of Scattered Threads, followers, recent followers, and visitors.  I hope you all are well.

My first day of fall was rainy; and while it rained, I continued to work and finish a few things I wanted to share with you all.

For me, fall is the season of Harvest and Thanksgiving and is one of my favorite times of the year.  This is where we gather our crops, give thanks to God for all his blessings "in all things," while preparing and looking forth for the cold winter days to come.
With those thoughts in mind, here is what I've worked on for this post.

I loved the way Lizzie Kate's piece turned out with it's pumpkin feet.  I hope I gave this piece "justice" with it's finishing and hope you all and Lizzie Kate would think so too.

Lizzie Kate, Fall Crazy
In All Things...Give Thanks

Next is the same photo, but what I wanted to show was the wool applique candle mat.

Next is my Scarecrow with it's mini pumpkins.  What's a pumpkin patch/farm without a scarecrow.  (I wondered if this pattern  is by crosstitch designer, Barbara, Plum Pudding Designs)

I recalled a couple years ago going to a pumpkin farm, and there was such an abundance of corn.  The kids went on a hay ride to select their pumpkins, played, and ran through the corn field. When I saw the corn fabby, I knew what I was going to use it on, my scarecrow.  I loved the way he turned out too.  He will  nestle very well between my fall decor.

It's All About Fall

Next up is a Pumpkin

    Country Friends
    Frost on the Punkin
    Here are two blocks form my BOM quilt I mentioned in my last post.  I love the good contrast between the fabby's
    Block 1:  Woven 9-Patch Variation
    Block 2: Antique Tile
    and; finally, I prepared the backing for my quilt I mentioned in
    my last post and will post a pic after quilting and binding.  I also started a quillow and will show after completion.
    I hope you all enjoy looking around and hope you all will leave a comment as I appreciate them and enjoy hearing from you all.
    Until next time, take care and be well.
    Always,
    Jackie.

I love your finish on the LK and your fall decorating. It has turned very colorful up here in Maine all of a sudden and I need to get my fall things out to celebrate. Lovely decorating!

I love the block of the month patterns. I have a piece of material I purchased just because of the design along the edge. I now have an idea of what I am going to do with it, with some fussy cutting. Love your blog, going to add to my bookmarked blogs. Will enjoy perusing the rest of your posts. Have a great day.
