Watch Words

Thank you, God

for all You have given me;

for all You have saved me from;

for all I am because of You.

Wisdom and Understanding

Lord, grant me the serenity

to accept the things I cannot change,

to change the things that I can, and,

the wisdom to know the difference.

2010's First Post

2010, Here I am.  New Beginings!
This week FOST, I've been doing some "stategic" stitching in between the dishes, the vaccum, and one busy little 2 year old.

Okay, remember my New Beginings piece I started after Christmas.  Well, I finished her earlier this week, I think on Monday or so.  She is quite a beauty.  Believe I will be framing her.

Patchwork Samplers (Garden of Eden)

Okay!

I have had these little babies on my frame much too long LHN Monthly Ornament SAL.  I needed that piece up top to get me in the right frame of mind.

This piece reminded me when I was a little girl how my parents would take us out caroling in the evening singing Christmas carols.  Oh what a past time that was. Absolute fond memory.

I finished her I think Tuesday and let her sit for a few days, thinking of her finish.  So when I thought Fa La La, carolers, I thought hymnal.  Then of course she had to be a book of hymns.  So after much given thought, here are my two little girlies singing in the snow in the evening.

I like this look with the book ajar

and here she is with the book open with her own little book mark.

Well, this is all for now.  I am near finish with my Bride's Tree Ornament SAL and hope to post soon after finishing.

Until then, I hope you all liked something here.

Jackie.

Hi Jackie! Love your finishes. You do the best finishes! Looking forward to seeing the framed piece. Your FaLaLa is the most striking one I have seen on the web. I love the choice of linen! What is it? And did you die the linen for the first piece too? It is so perfectly spotted.

I hope your new year is starting out great. May 2010 be full of inspiration for you!

Hugs ~
